A story in the Feb. 21 Kane County Chronicle regarding the former Pure Oil gas station in Geneva contained a quote and comment attributed to the wrong person. The quote from a member of the Geneva Historic Preservation Commission should have been attributed to member Mike Bruno, not chairman Scott Roy. We regret the error.
A story that ran on page 26 of the Feb. 10 edition of the Kane County Chronicle misspelled the name of Alex Hanna. The Chronicle regrets the error.
An article published on page 4 of the Jan. 27 edition of the Chronicle included incorrect information about electronic collection events hosted by Kane County government. The county events are staffed by workers from the county’s electronics recycling vendor, Sims Recycling Solutions of West Chicago. And to clarify, the collection events are offered only on the second Saturday of each month. To learn more about these events, contact the Kane County Environmental Resources recycling office at 630-208-3841 or visit the Kane County Recycles web page at www.countyofkane.org.
An article published on page 13 of the Jan. 28 edition of the Chronicle included incorrect information about measurement conversions that are related to potential water and sewer rate increases in Elburn – 4,500 gallons of water is about 600 cubic feet, or 6 billable units of water.
Lottery numbers listed in the Jan. 31 edition of the Kane County Chronicle were incorrect. The winning Lotto numbers were 13-24-26-31-34-42; the winning Little Lotto numbers were 10-17-18-37-38.
• An article on page 23 of the Jan. 28 edition of the Kane County Chronicle should have indicated that Batavia's Jake Pollack scored 15 points in the game.
Due to an inaccurate press release, a story that ran on page 20 of the Jan. 26 edition of the Kane County Chronicle included incorrect information. Jim and Maureen Radecki are also the parents of Allyson Radecki, 24, and tickets for Dancing with the Geneva Stars event are not available at Geneva Park District recreation centers.
