• Lynda S. Johnson, 50, of the 1100 block of Lewis Road, Geneva, was charged Sunday, Feb. 5, with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
• Raul Torres-Chaves, 23, of the 0-100 block of South 14th Street, St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, Feb. 14, with driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance. He was also arrested on two Kane County warrants for failing to appear in court.
• A Mercury Tracer in the 1200 block of Edward Avenue was reported burglarized Sunday, Feb. 12. Paperwork from the glove box was reportedly in disarray on the passenger seat, but nothing appeared missing.
• Arline Morales, 23, of the 5N900 block of Prairie Street, Virgil, was charged Sunday, Feb. 5, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent.
• A resident of the 200 block of Persimmon Drive on Friday, Feb. 3, reported seeing a 30- to 40-year-old man in their garage. The man reportedly looked at the resident and ran north on Hunt Club Drive. Nothing was reported missing. The man was described as 5-foot-4, 140 pounds and wearing khaki pants, a plain gray sweatshirt and carrying a gray Under Armour backpack.
• Devin L. Fosco, 20, of the 7300 block of Northway Drive, Hanover Park, was charged Monday, Feb. 6, with underage drinking and ticketed for speeding.
• A member of XSport Fitness, 238 N. Randall Road, reported that on Monday, Jan. 30, someone had stolen her BMW keys, a pair of $70 jeans and a bottle of $65 Gucci perfume from her locker between 7:50 and 9:15 a.m. The car key was reportedly then used to gain entry to her 2008 convertible. Her $50 purse containing a $30 wallet, $700 digital camera, five credit cards, checkbook, Social Security card and driver’s license were stolen. A Visa debit card was reportedly used to make at least $198 in purchases at BP Amoco and Target, both in Batavia, between 9 and 9:30 a.m.
• Sara R. Muncy, 30, of the 2200 block of Rockefeller Drive, Geneva, was charged Sunday, Jan. 29, with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent and speeding.
• Mark Edwin Carlson Jr., 30, of the 7100 block of Windsor Lake Parkway, Loves Park, was charged Thursday, Jan. 26, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving too fast for conditions following an accident in which his SUV ran off Burlington Road and into a ditch.
• Opalruth Wells, 47, of the 100 block of South 17th Street, St. Charles, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 25, on a St. Charles warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of retail theft.
• Two manhole covers valued at $400 were reported taken Monday, Jan. 30, from the intersection of Douglas and Raddant roads.
• Harry S. Smol Jr., 44, of the 200 block of South Harrison Street, Geneva, was charged Tuesday, Jan. 21, with two counts of domestic battery.
• The windows of a minivan in the 300 block of South Sixth Avenue were reported vandalized with spray paint Thursday, Jan. 19.
• Gregory Vernon Clark Jr., 40, of the 900 block of West Main Street, St. Charles, was arrested Sunday, Jan. 22, on a Champaign County warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of not paying child support.
